ok i finally got tired of going up n down with nationwide so i went there yesterday. after a long arguement they decided to bring da price down to 1000. even though that not wat i had in mind i paid it cos i missed driving my car so much.
wen i got in da car i realised the motor control system failure lights is still flashing so i asked the guy if the car if fixed y is there lights still showing and he claims he spoke to alfa specialist n its normal cos theres nuffin wrong with the car. he's now booked an appointment for me on friday to bring it back in cos they will av a specialist in dat day n will try turn the lights of.
my question is, are these guys just taking da **** or is dat normal to av da lights flashing. i know da last time i took it into an alfa garage with a similar prblem it came back with no lights showing on da head n drove like a new car. noe it feels like am driving a car that still needs servicing after they gave me a reciept showing that:
checked vehicle out found cylinder 2 low compression
removed cylinder head and found #2 to be burnt out/ hole in valve (definately a lie)
cylinder head pressure tested and outer valves checked
replace 16 valves + headgasket set + head bolts + head skimmed and cambelt kit
also replaced spark plugs + oil/ filter + antifreeze
require 500 mile check
but lights still showing
not happy at all. i need help if theres anything i can do myself to fix this cos i'd rather that than the clueless mechanics at halfords
