2.0L TS 156 wishbone

Hi guys. I have the knocking front wishbone's on the front passenger side. I've had a quick look and it seems to be the bottom wishbone that needs replacing. Im gonna take wheel off and have a good look. Is there anyway of checking to see if the top one needs replacing? Also is it best to change both bottom wishbone's or just change the one thats knocking? Thanks for ya time in reading this post.

Depends on how the ride feels, odometer, if you want to do it yourself or have a pro do it (paying for labor, prefer to do all at once)...

Top play is reasonably easy to spot, jack it up and see if you can pull top top mount from side to side.Antiroll bar drop links usually need grinding off so if you are changing any wishbones get a drop link or two.

I'd always change both, especially if they are a few years old as the other side will be worn as well.

I changed all the wishbones top and bottom and the drop links and anti roll bar bushes on my 156 and still had a clunking noise coming from the front suspension. It turned out to be the shock absorber top mounts. They are the ones that are attached to the top of the shock and bolt up into the two turrets.
