Chris's post about his V6 losing power got me thinking - I too had a similar experience in the 2 day long summer we had a month ago regarding power loss.
Does anyone know of a Dynamometer in North West England that I can test my car on?
Is it the sort of thing that all dealers have or do I have to go to a special tuning place?
Does the Dynamometer owner have to know about Alfa Romeos?
How much would it cost to get a power curve/power output/whatever done?
Part of the reason I ask is that I read in a magazine about someone with a Volvo that had done about 130,000 miles and his complaint was that it didn't seem to tow a caravan like it used to. They sent it off to a Dynamometer place and he was 38BHP down on what he should have had. Diagnosis was a faulty MAF and a dose of aerosol/foamy gunk stuff that you squirt in your engine. Probably like Foaming Carb Cleaner, but goes further in and soaks in for longer.
