Shocks and Lowering Springs

Hi, I have a 99 156 1.8TS and the shocks need doing. I was going to take the chance to lower it a little as it has sporty side trims and the high spoiler so it would look good. What are the best shocks to go for, and also how much should I lower it without having problems?
Should I be replacing any bushens or doing anything else while the shocks are getting done?

Re: Shocks and Lowering Springs

Say bye-bye to your wallet.......

EB spares offer RHB tuned Bilstein shocks for the 156. It's definitely worth doing the front wishbones at the same time. If you are thinking of lowering, you may as well go the whole hog and start hurling new bushes.

The Bilsteins are 490.00 a set

plus carriage and vat.

Monzasport also offer an Eibach kit. Can't recall the prices off the top of my head. , but they are cheaper than the Bilsteins.

Might as well get the eibach pro kit.Still works out cheaper than the Alfa originals and you'll get a 30mm drop and no more nose-diving antics that the standards are so good at provoking.

Re: Shocks and Lowering Springs

Well , I did it, just ordered the Bilsteins and Eibech set. Doing front lower right wishbone and rear bushes at the same time, everything else checked out ok.
I'll let you guys know what it turns out like
Cheers for the replies
