156 2.0TS exhaust question
I've got a year 2000 156 and I'm trying to identify bits of my exhaust.
Starting from the engine end I've got a 4 - 2 - 1 exhaust header followed by a small thingie about a foot long and six inches in diameter which has a woven wire covering (my guess is it is the cat) closely followed by what I assume is the 1st silencer which is about 2 foot long flattened cylinder and then after about 4 foot of piping there is then the back box.
Have I identified the bits correctly - I assumed the cat would be bigger than just a foot long or is the the 2nd thingie a cat aswell or the 1st silencer?
If I get a performance exhaust system (cat back) e.g. from Autodelta is the (what I assume is) the 1st silencer replaced with just a pipe?
