156 s/w soggy rear suspension

Anyone know if you can get stronger but not shortened rear springs for a Sport wagon, back end of mine was very bouncy till it had Ryobi gas struts fitted but still seems soft and sinks badly with load in, four people and trip to diy shop and its on bump stops....that can't be right can it?

Could be that someone in the past has fitted saloon rear suspension - the Sportwagon is uprated as standard - only time I've had issues is when as an emergency measure I used saloon components because (a) I had no Sportwagon stuff in stock and (b) it was our own car.....

I can sympathise here, my one had self leveling boge suspension from standard which were great but one of them broke and the price of one new one was more than 500, I elected to change shocks and springs all round lowering as I go, I started with prosport shocks all round but found that no matter what springs I used none were stiff enough front or rear. I have a 2lt Jts and it must have a heavy engine compared to a twinspark as the 3 sets of springs I tried were too soft to be that low and I bittomed the front out loads of times, the rears are the same, I hit the the inner wheel arch all the time and cant have any weight in the back, my last change was for eibach springs for a V6 and at last the fronts are stiff enough, but again the rears are far too soft and the kit I bought is an eibach sport wagon kit, in an act of desperation I have now fitted ford capri 2lt front springs on the back, these are plenty stiff enough but I had to modify the springs and too cups significantly to do it
