So, my DMF is failing
Current symptoms are vibration in the cabin, especially in the steering wheel, brake pedal and clutch pedal (on idle). And you can feel the whole engine vibrating if you open the bonnet and put your hand on it.
It might be my imagination, but the gear change seems to be more notchy too.
As the vibration is at idle, and goes away when driving, I'm assuming that rules out driveshafts?
I've had the car less than a month and done less than 1000 miles (and nearly 400 of those miles were driving it from the dealer in Newcastle to Swansea) so its not my driving style that is killing the DMF! I have a good warranty on the car and the DMF is a specific item I added to the warranty prior to purchasing the car (agreed with the underwriter and dealer).
So, before I look into getting the gearbox dropped and confirming its the DMF (and therefore making a warranty claim), could it be anything else causing the vibrations?
