Replacing the Pressure Accumulator on your Selespeed
I recently purchased a 156 Selespeed and it needs a new accumulator, since the gears won't hold (1st and reverse) falling back to neutral...
Anyway, I just ordered the new accumulator from my local Alfa dealer and the part will be available shortly. Since I didn't get around to buying a workshop manual yet, I'd like to now what are the procedures in this operation? Do I have to plug the Alfadiag to depressurize the system (not that there would be much pressure, seeing the accumulator is gone)? Or do I just remove the old accumulator and replace it with the new one, plug it and go?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
