Well Happy GT JTD - diesel "chips"

Morning boys and girls. I am finally getting my first Alfa after years of driving pretty well everything else - a nice red GT.

Has anyone tried any of the various diesel "enhancements" such as remapping, chips etc? I've seen Diesel express, Chips express and Evolution chips. Prices seem to vary from 99 for a plug and play DIY through to 350+ for remapping.

Anyone experienced any of these and what were the outcomes in terms of MPG and enhanced power/performance?

Thanks all

on a diesel you will notice a HUGE gain in improvements with a remap. Plug and play chips are available on ebay and various other sites and from what i have read they are very good too. the advantage of a chip box is that you can remove it without any worries and with a remap its a bit more difficult but if you want more power then a remap is what i would suggest. some people on here have had 210hp + from a remap on a 2.4 jtd with smoother power delivery and better miles per gallon. thats a win win in my book

Go for a proper remap. Mine is about 185bhp and is very quick with little effort
