So, as i mentioned in another thread elsewhere - i was heading south this morning on my way to AlfaWorkshop when my MCSF Light came on. It happened after re-starting at a filling station.
The guys at AW said it was Lambda 2 sensor that was returning the fault (looking at the front of the engine its the sensor on the right??).
There's no real symptoms to the problem - i guess if i'm really picky i have noticed the odd gasp at around 3-4k revs in the 1k miles i've done - would this be connected to this problem?
I'm also wondering where the power is? I know i'm only in a 1.6, but i'm getting done by puntos, fiestas, ka's etc until i'm up to speed (by which point if the offending cars are still in sight they have no chance!
Bearing in mind the fact that i'm no mechanic, is this diy-able? It looks like it is. Is there anything i can do in the mean time?
Am i ok still to drive the car?
Can anyone point me in the direction of the replacement part?
and finally..... will the fault clear once replaced, or will i need it reset via software??
Sorry for all the questions guys!! I'm totally new to alfas, so this is the first car that i've cared to have any real involvment in and care for!
