can i clean maf with carb cleaner?

hi pretty much as title says really. looking to clean my maf on the 156 t spark. got some carb cleaner and wondered if this was ok to use?
any advice?

I would say your better of using electrical contact cleaner, comes in a aerosol

you can clean it with whatever you like, it won't stop it being fecked though.

if your MAF is on that slippery slope its just putting off the inevitable and it will need replacing anyway. just make sure you get a genuine Bosch unit first as last.

i agree, dont bother cleaning it as, for one thing, it might not be faulty and 2 if it isnt faulty and you have "cleaned it" you may bugger it up. for some reason they are very fragile on the alfas. you could probably get a second hand one off of ebay but be sure it is not faulty and make sure the part numbers match
