well.... missus was watching 'that' wedding again tonight so I decided to o out and tackle the bubbling paint on one of the wheels.... 1hr 30 mins later and some very sore fingers + 2 sheets of sand paper and theyre smooth as!!
Best way to check if they are smooth enough is to close your eyes and just wipe your finger over the wheel, if you cant feel any bobbles then its smooth... The first wheel i did I didnt do this, and you can see it a mile away where its sanded but not smoothed. You really do have to put the effort into it, otherwise the finish just wont be there. I didnt believe what people said... but now I bloody do....
One medium/bad wheel to do and 2 light bubbled wheels.... = 2hrs sanding at least... sore fingers here I come...
Also, does anyone else suffer from the back wheels bubbling more than the front? Apart from a bit of kerbing the fronts are almost like new, but the back wheels are horrific!!
