Alfa 156 idle/cruise issue
First time poster so will try and give as much info as I can think of.
I have a 2000 156 2.0 with 43000 on the clock, only recently bought. So far have replaced the exhaust and removed the K&N cone thing (I assume an induction kit) which the previous owner had fitted direct to the MAF.
At the moment its having issues when idling (including when warm 70 degrees) and a fair bit of the time if I am at a steady speed 70-80 on the motorway, it feels lumpy as if its misfiring, but not actually misfiring. Also doesnt seem to have as much power as it should.
Also has quite lumpy acceleration at low speeds, unless I plant the pedal then it takes off. Have tried unplugging the MAF, this seemed to bring the acceleration power back, but the 'cruising' was even more lumpy.
Any ideas? Help gratefully received.
