lowering suspension

Hi All .

been pondering on lowering my 156 sportwagon . 2.5 v6 engine .

i think ive got the std suspension at the moment . ive measured the distance bet . centre of wheel and edge of wheel arch and its approx 37 cm at front and rear .

the car handles Ok but it could be a lot better .

i want to just change the springs , although i think the dampers are the original ones at the back and i think someone has changed the fronts to monroes .

anyone recommend any reasonable priced quality springs or dampers ? and can i get away with just changing the springs .

also how hard / easy is it to change the dampers or springs ?

thanks: for any replies .
