Just went out to check my car oil level before coming to work earlier, opened the drivers door and noticed the selespeed pump was going on for a lot longer than normal..
and noticed it was *ahem* relieving itself on my drive.
I quickly checked the sele fluid level, completly empty...
took the plastic cover from the top of the reservoir and pump off to look for leaks, nothing..
Then raised the car up took the wheel arch lining out to check the hoses there. all the hoses are dry, the only thing i can think of is the breather tube?? but can it push all the sele fluid out of that? its definetely under the breather tube area, anyway I quickly rush to my local Alfa dealer and get some more sele fluid and fill it up to see if i can see where its coming from.
So I fill it up turn the key to MAR and the pump now does its usual short burst and no more leak
Start the car still no leak but the gearbox warning light comes on and beeps every 5-10 seconds.
Has anyone lost there fluid out of the breather pipe? Is it possible?
I suppose the sele needs bleeding. Is this a dealership job only? and could bleeding fix the warning light?
Also I am not to sure about driving the car to the garage at the moment is it ok to drive or would this cause more damage?
