Door "Stays" on the GT, cracking when open/closing?
The GT is stunning in nearly all ways.
Managed to transport the wife, 2 lads and myself plus assorted luggage for a week to Cornwall and back in comfort. Brilliant as a practical car in many ways, even better on the twisty Cornish A roads, the thing comes alive!!
A few niggles that I haven't sorted yet.
The rear parcel shelf has finally been silenced! Rubber electrical gromits glued to the plastic that meets the shelf, it now rest on these in silence. Nice.
But, the doors. Opening and closing them is an embarrassment. They both click and pop on both opening and closing. It seems to come from the pin that holds the stay onto the car. It moves slightly when the door is opened. I've tried tightening the bolt on the frame and the two in the door that hold the stay in place, but no change.
Is this an easy part to find and change? Or is it the pin that needs to be changed?
It is well greased, so not a lubrication issue.
Any help appreciated.
Moved over to the dark side
And loving it
