Rather Different in Australia
New RACV Premier 1
Premier 1 customers get the best discounts on their premium.
If you've held your current Rating 1 with RACV for more than one year, you will now automatically be upgraded to our new RACV Premier 1 status if during this time no 'at-fault' accident claims are made.
This means that you'll enjoy maximum Rating 1 protection as long as you remain continuously insured with RACV.
If you've just become entitled to a Rating 1 with RACV, you can now earn RACV premier 1 status after just one year on Rating 1, provided you make no 'at-fault' claims in that year
Not at Fault? No rating loss
All RACV policies now also carry additional 'no-fault' rating protection.
If you have to make a claim where you are not at fault your rating will not be penalised. This can include, for example, storm damage or if your car is stolen.
Even if you make a claim where you are at fault your rating will now only reduce by one level, (if you do not have rating protection) not two as used to be the case.
All this for the eqivalent of about UK 210 pounds in Australia on a 2002 Alfa 147 TS
