Just been from Warrington to Bracknell and back today, down the M6, M6 toll road, M42, M40, A404, M4 and that other last bit that I can't remember. And back again. Total journey distance was 396 miles
I did a constant 80 MPH wherever possible, which was virtually all the way there and back apart from a couple of wee breaks (not Scottish wee, but wee wee) and a bit of town driving.
Headlights were on all the way there and side lights on the way back, plus aircon on all the time both ways. And windscreen wipers a lot (well it *is* summer!)
I filled up at Morrison's about 5 miles from home with exactly 52 litres of petrol (11.44 gallons
) And the yellow light never came on once.
Which is a creditable 34.6 miles per gallon
What is wrong with my car?? Is it running too lean and I am going to melt the engine?
I don't know whether to be happy or concerned!!
Makes a 166 even more tempting!!
