Squeaky suspension!

How to fix? Is it an unusual problem for a 147 to have?

I don't think it's unusual. Mine's been squeaky (worse at the front) for a long time. I asked AlfaAid in maidenhead about it they said that until it starts to knock then don't worry about it as it would be relatively expensive to remedy and won't be doing any damage. Can anyone verify this? It is very annoying!!

I'm no mechanic, but i think it would be something to do with the actual shock strut. I've had it before where it's been squeaky and it's been the strut seals to blame (not on an Alfa though).
Remedy was new struts. Could turn out expensive.
Just a rough guess.

usually upper arm bushes - they go dry in time

DIY: 50 quid a side for OE spec (don't get the cheap ones off ebay).

ARB bushes do it as well but less common. If the squeak is around dashboard height it's the arms. If its from down by your feet ARB. Balljoints can squeak too tho!

Squeaking is usually the upper wish bones get some silicon lubricant and spray the rubber bushes that should stop it squeaking

If they are squeaking, they are dry (upper wishbone bushes) and will wear more quickly and produce play in the bush, keep an eye on tyre wear, mine started rubbing off on the inner of the front tyre.
