156 misfiring at low revs when cold.
Is it the dreaded MAF sensor? How much is it going to cost if it is? This problem started about a week ago on my 156 1.6 TS. The car started up perfectly and I drove it to work with it running like a dream. Came out in the evening and fired it up and it was missing and popping under 2000rpm, anything over that and it ran fine until it warmed up after a couple of miles when the misfire became less and less until it vanished completely. Now it's the same story every day. Zero power and loads of misfiring under 2000rpm until the car warms up and then it's fine all day. It's even given me a Motor Control System Failure warning on the infocenter a couple of times but I can clear that by turning off and restarting the engine. I'm pretty sure that it's not a split hose or a loose connection by the consistancy of the problem and the way that it came on all of a sudden. Any help or advise?
