Bluetooth stereo for 156

I've got an '05 156 Veloce and am looking to upgrade (replace) the factory stereo.

I have the 6 speaker config (4 front, 2 rear, no rear shelf). I'd like something that hooks into the existing steering wheel controls and also has bluetooth for making phone calls.

Does anyone have any experience or advice?

I have just fitted a Pioneer into mine. Bluetooth is excellent but I gave up with the steering wheel controls, couldn't seem to get the right lead, I am sure it's possible though. look in the ICE lounge and do a search, loads of info there.

try car audio direct. I got an adapter from there for my pioneer BT unit that works with the steering controls just fine (about 40 quid I think!!)

shame my steering wheel controls don't work properly any more though! (well, the "next track" one has packed)

Nothing :-(

My factory fit unit is linked in with a bluetooth kit fitted by the previous owner - I'm just hoping it works with my Alpine from my old car - I also had issues when it was fitted in my last car about losing the steering controls so I'm hopeful I can sort that

Blaupunkt Hamburg MP68, few years old now, but has bluetooth (phone & streaming), USB and looks the business.

There are a few on ebay and these have all the leads. I bought a connects2 unit to link it into the steering wheel controls

I put a Sony DSX-S300BTX into my 147 today ( DSX-S300BTX (DSXS300BTX, DSXS300BTX.EUR) : Portable audio : Sony )

Got all the relevant kit to work with the steering wheel controls and Bose setup from Nexxia ( Nexxia Quality Audio Video Wall Plates, Car Audio, Audio Video cables ) - again Connects2 as per Gernster. Bluetooth works a treat on it (both streaming audio and phone), has a front USB (where something like a Lacie Moskeyto LaCie - LaCie MosKeyto would live very happily) and an internal USB which is where my iPod now lives.
