Hope someone can help with a non starter
Right guys, hopefully someone has got an idea on this one.
I was cleaning my new (to me) 156 1.8ts sportwagon and had the bonnet up and had taken off the engine cover to give it a clean as it was filthy, went in for lunch and my 2 year old turned on the garden sprinkler as we have had new turf laid next to the drive, I didn't realise until I went out nearly any hour later only to find that the engine bay is soaked.
So dried off the engine as much as I could, left it in the sun for a couple of hours and started the engine. Happy as Larry the engine started, I thought I'll leave it running for a bit to let it got hot and dry things out when the engine stopped and won't start again.
Things done and checked so far,
There is fuel
All belts are OK
Dried off the coil pack, leads and plugs
and engine bay is now generally dry.
Has anyone got any thoughts as to what direction to take now as I can't think of anything else to do or check as I don't know these cars well enough yet.
Thanks in advance
