I'm planning on putting 18 inchers on my 147. But i can't seem to decide wich lowering i want. What would you guys think? I can choose between an original alfa romeo lowering wich says it will lower about 2 to 3 cm's. Then i can also choose to put eibach springs under the car and they would lower about 3 cm's. And the third option is novitec springs that lower 4cm's.
Now the first and last choice can be done at the AR dealer and include balancing of the suspension, but is offcourse expensive,to compare prices: 350€ springs, fitting and balancing for AR springs, and 300€ for novitec's. The second choice (eibach) can be done with someone i know (not a garage or anything) he puts the eibach springs on for 227€,but no balancing of the suspension,so i'll have to do that also. Dunno what it will cost
Now the ideal lowering for the 18's would be the eibach 3cm,but then i have the problem with the suspension balancing. With the AR dealer the lowering would be done perfectly and completely balanced and all,but the AR springs state a lowering of 2 to 3cm's?? If it will be 2cm's than it's too little for me,and the novitec's 4 cm will be too much i'm afraid
So what should i do? Go cheap and put the eibach's on it (hoping it will be done the right way) but go and pay some more on balancing the suspension,in some garage because dealer says no no offcourse. Or go for the 'maybe' 3cm's from AR and let the dealer put them under and balance the car in the way it should be done, but pay a lot more offcourse
Hope you'll understand what i'm saying?
