Simon calm down man, I wasn't replying to you directly, some folks here mentioned the word "hi-end" so i posted some hi end links, nobody forced you to pay for them
Besides, I wouldnt pay for a McIntosh either, not for any car no matter how solid and silent interior it has. Not just because of thieves or engine/interior's noise, but because the car's cabin is the worst room to build a hi end system. And apart from that, while driving, the driver cant enjoy the hi end's advantages (as far as hi end it can be in a car). And about Hertz, I didnt say the re the worst of all, i just said that they re not hi end. But since you appreciate them much, tell that to Patrick (banflu) who just threw his money on a AIR2500 and he s really p1ssed off
( and i m responsible for this too because i didnt stop him from getting it at all
and i feel guilty about it.. Many ppl support a good reputation of Hertz, but this reminds me the good reputation of Rockford Fosgate, many ppl think they re the best, the truth is that they have decent subwoofers but their component sets are real crap.
Bottom line is I could never suggest a set of Hertz to someone who has an Arcam/Nad/Mission combo at his home. I would easy suggest a set of Focal Utopia or Dynaudio though, since they re more "musical" and won't insult the audiophile's ears and they re not worthing a fortune either. Anyway we re not having an argue here, I d prefer Hertz instead of some cheap or medium MbQuart models for example.
