Buying a 54 plate GT help and advice
Just been to look at a lovely red V6 Gt and I am having a real head vs heart dilemma.
It is due a cam belt change (on age rather than mileage) but the dealer has said that he will get that done so that takes a load off my mind.
Were there any changes made during the production of the GT which would make it worth spending a bit more to get a newer model?
It looks like the car has had a bump on the rear nearside at some point: the rear bumper does not appear to be the original (the rear lower lights do not fit perfectly and there is a part number painted on the inside in what looks like tip-ex which does not look factory). The main rear light also has signs of a respray with masking tape overspray visible, and some slight paint bulge on the bottom of the rear wing. It is totally HPI clear, but should I walk away from this?
One thing that I am concerned about is the rear visibility and parking the thing. Is it possible to retrofit the factory reversing sensor option, or are there any alternatives that I should be looking at?
The GT drives really well, but is there anything else I should check for?
