Re: 147 Vdc Error

A lot of people have had this happen. From memory I think it was a faulty brakelight switch.

And welcome to AO, enjoy the stay

Not Happy Re: 147 Vdc Error

I thought I was immune to these problems but now 2 and a half years and 53000km later.........I am getting ABS/VDC failure error messages. I am not sure if there is a real problem, why it is happening now, and if I need to rush in and have it looked at. I have noticed some steering wheel shaking when I break firmly or hard but I don't know if this is related.
Any advice?

Re: 147 Vdc Error

I had ABS/VDC problems after the car had been unused for a few weeks. The message dissapeared after a few days and hasn't been back since. I have taken it to the garage today so I will let you know what they come back with.

Wave Re: 147 Vdc Error

I get VDC messages on my SW that disappear next time I start up. I live down a bumpy road and I found it was appearing if the first brake of the day was over a bump and triggered the ABS. I now brake once before hitting the bumps and it's never come back.

Anyway, if your tyres or pads are getting a bit old, this can increase the number of times the ABS kicks in. Worth checking what state the tyres and stuff are in.

Welcome to AO!

Hello Ben.D as well!
