Oh yeah Q2, sorry I forgot we were on about that, my mind has been mainly fixed on what a beautiful car I've bought
Last night I pulled up at the petrol station, then began the search for the fuel cap release, gave up after a couple of minutes but luckily I had the handbook in the boot. Guy in a white van next to me laughing says 'just bought it mate?', apparently he'd had the same situation. Anyway he congratulates me on having a fantastic car, we have a chat, then when he walks in behind me to pay he goes ' effing hell, it's an 07 plate' Yep, he thought it was brand new.
I popped in to Jamie Porter's workshop after buying it, he speaks highly of the Q2, but mainly he just told me to take it easy driving the ' weasel on speed', no hammering through roundabouts as car can go 2 foot either way. So I've only driven it about 30 miles and the power is taking some getting used to, but what an amazing feeling, I just love it. You have to take into account I've wanted a GT since their launch, to me it's never dated.
If I had £700 spare, sure I'd get the Q2 fitted, but the belts and water pump will need doing this time next year (assuming I go with the 5 year rule) and my Fulvia looks like it's going to need some cash spent on it, so spending on cars has to stop unless absolutely necessary.
On the other hand if I had £700 spare I'd be tempted to fit some cameras around the car and a video screen, I can't see a thing reversing and parking!
Anyway hopefully here's some pics, unfortunately you can't pick out the metallic paint and the interior isn't shiny like in the photos, Mr Dog kept it nice and matt.
My kids have called the GT ' Bolt' after Ussain Bolt
