147 :rattle in 2nd gear

I've noticed a very quiet rattle coming from, I suspect, the gearbox in 2nd gear.

The only way to describe it is like a piece of plastic rubbing and clicking against gear-teeth.

At first I thought it was something touching the wheel or driveshaft, but I've identified that it only happens in 2nd gear, and is only audible at low speeds (10mph or lower)

The car runs fine, and has been worked on and maintained without any issue for a couple of years now, but It's one of those little niggles that you can't help wanting to get resolved.

Anyone heard of something similar, or any idea what it might be?

When a passenger of the foot, hooves in sight, tootel the horn trumpet melodiously
