changing brake discs, pads and ABS sensors
Hi, I need a little advice.
I took my sons 147 to a dealer and had the front bearings replaced at horrendous cost. added to the cost was the ABS sensors which I now know nearly always break on removal as they get corroded in. Question, the dealer says he is having a great deal of problems getting the correct ABS sensors for my sons 147, is this normal? He says the dealer keeps sending him the wrong ones?
On top of this it also needs all the discs and pads changing, something my dealer has quoted for but to be honest I may well tackle myself as again it's really expensive. I've looked at the cost of the parts and they come out at £172 whereas if a dealer does it its many times that.
One last question, if I change the back brakes pads and discs how easy is it to change the rear sensors and will the front sensors (newly replaced) come off easily.
Many thanks in advance
