Apologies to anyone who may have been asked this a zillion times but i'm new here.
Planning to make changes to wheels and suspension on alfa 147 fairly soon. I'm currently on the alfa supersport 17" wheels (and v. nice they are too!)
Just want to know if anyone's dropped their ride height by any large amount (i.e. >30mm) and if they required arch modifications. Especially interested to hear from those on 18" rims or larger - i'm toying with the idea
what is the original offset on the 147....I looked at the OZ wheels book and it shows 35mm....is that the right one..???
The OEM offset for the std 16" rims is about 40.5mm.
The 7.5"x17" GTA rims have a 35mm offset and fit a std body 147/156 spot on.
Most aftermarket rims for the 147/156 will be about 35mm offset because most people want the wheels to fill the arches.
If you're getting OZ rims that have 5x100 PCD (instead original 5x98), be sure that OZ supplies centering rings and bolt kits with the wheel. That way the wheels fit perfectly with no vibration problem at higher speeds.
