Firstly I don't believe there are any issues with my current waterpump. There are no water leaks from what I can see and the coolant level has been pretty solid on the max line. Temp gauge is sitting at 90 throughout be it on motorways or town driving. More preventative action this is!
So, what should I do?
a) get the waterpump changed immediately (this is the cost a full cambelt change + waterpump?)
b) hold off for another few thousand miles and get new timing belt changed along with waterpump, tensioners idlers etc. (Say do this earlier at 60k miles or so- even though next cambelt is due at 72kmiles.)
It might be worth saying I have a full warranty on the car- this expires first week in August.
