Graham, I love the way you put the Q2 at the bottom of the list! Surely the sport focused GT version should be at the top of the list?!
Back to the original point, the GT is an older design, so don't expect cutting edge comfort, performance and handling. But, and it is a big but, the car makes up for all of those points with its sheer fun factor.
I use mine for commuting 22 miles each day and for a weekly blast up and down the M5. As a commuting car it is great, fun, handles well, economy averages 40mpg and is a blast on islands and in and out of traffic. On the motorway it is even better. Sits at speed as solid as a rock. Love it.
But then at the weekend it becomes a really fun car to drive hard. The Q2 diff makes a whole heap of difference to the handles and traction.
Coming from a 330D? Hmm, a very different beast. But hopefully a test drive will help you to appreciate the fun factor you would gain. And the car just looks amazing. I get comments about mine.
Spec wise, maybe the Cloverleaf is the best bet if looking for a newer one. But if you want a harder more focussed drive, get a Q2, glad I did!
