147 Steering Feels Funny
Firstly, fantastic site. A real mine of information.
I posted a couple of weeks ago talking about the anti-roll bar bushes on my 147 being replaced, and the tracking and steering alignment being chucked out. Although I mentioned the geometry reset to the dealer, they still still won't have it that there's a problem. At the same time they also fixed something with my power steering but unfortunately I'm not sure what it was (under warranty, didn't get an invoice).
What I've noticed though is that my steering now just feels awful. Its lifeless, particularly with small movements, and the only way I can describe the feel it gives back is that its as if the tyres are really over-inflated, but they're not. Any camber in the road makes the car drift wildly to one side, mainly the left obviously, and if i drive over speed humps or bumpy roads I get an instance change of direction, and the wheel just wobbles to either side as if its sort of "disconnected" or something. I don't know if that makes any sense at all? The dealer just can't see a problem.
Any advice that anyone can give me? Please?!! Its really really annoying me, and can't be good for my pride and joy.
