You donít say how old it is. But most high mileage cars (30,000 to 40,000 per year say) will have done their time mostly on the motorway so it could quite easily be better than a car doing less than half that distance on short or mostly town use.
Iíve seen cars with around 100,000 on the clock with no body or trim wear, with only the speedo to show the high mileage. So donít let the mileage put you off. Judge the car on the condition you find it in. Alfas these days are equal to the majority of cars these days for reliability particularly the 147.
I cant say about high mileages for the Selespeed transmission perhaps somebody else can advise you there.
