Getting on fine, an issue with overboost (I think) that cuts power at high revs but I can live with it for now and my local Alfa genius is aware.
Other than that the car is great, pulls really well, sounds good for a diesel and returned 36mpg over 320 miles of mixed, mostly urban, driving.
I could easily fit four teledials in the boot, seats down, with all the jacks and tools to change wheels.
Its a lovely comfy car, not as good as my 166 though
, and with grippy front tyres handles surprisingly well.
On the 1.8 Vs 2.0 question, I think its about what you want from the engine, the 2.0 is more refined due to balancer belt but slower revving, whereas the 1.8 is a delight it revs freely and tend to induce big
, but is a touch less smooth. My personal choice would be the 1.8.
