Alfa GT 1.9 previous cam belt snapped
My engine is sounding 'a lot more' like a diesel these past few days, I had the guys at Alfa Workshop spend 3 hours looking to find a reason as they agreed that it was a lot noisier than they tend to be. I went home and went through the services and noticed the following:
'excessive' diesel noise on my GT, here is a bit of its history:
It had its ECU changed in 2006, by Alfa and was under warranty.
On the 24/07/09:
and in the description of this invoice it says "Isolate Cam Belt Breakage"
Does this provide an answer to the noise?
And how risky is it for me to own a car that has had its cam belt snapped?
The invoice for the above work was just under £1500
