156 Engine Rebuild, now car wont start
I recently had to have my 2000 AR 156 engine rebuilt. I drove through a huge puddle, and the air intake sucked water into the engine. I bent a rod, and the end.
The engine was done being rebuilt today, after a couple weeks of work. When the mechanic tried to start the car, all he got was a light show in the dash, an 'N' in the gear LCD display, and the engine didn't even attempt to turn over.
Can anyone give me any clues as to what might cause this?
By the way, the mechanic believes that it might have something to do with the computer system that controls the transmission shifting (it's pseudo automatic shifter). I don't know anything about cars with computers. The battery was fully charged, and all the fuses looked good.
