I have a problem with the boot lock on my 147 mk1. Bought the car second hand with the boot lock broken. The shaft from solenoid (the black box behind the catch) was broken and I've manged to repair it. The problem is that the shaft pushes the catch and the boot opens but it doesn't get back in. It seems like the computer doesn't reverse the polarity. Does anyone know the exact behaviour of the system ? Also I've noticed that there are some wires going to the catch ... I'm guessing that they are used for telling when the boot is opened or closed. Saw that someone did some soldering or something ... does anyone have a picture with the wires going into the catch ? Also ... if I unplug the catch wiring an only let the solenoid plugged in, is it normal for the shaft not to return ?
