With the bonnet catch it's a goodi idea to give it a tug once you've closed to make sure; I just wipe it over and give it a spray of White lithium grease or wd40 when I wash the car. Seems they can stick unlocked - as if you've pulled the release in the car - and can then pop up at speed. It worries me the amount of cars I see driving around where the bonnet clearly hasn't been closed properly!
Rivern - if you have any doubt about the cambelt best advice is to get it changed. When they go they wreck the valves, usually the pistons and bottom end shell bearings, which adds up to a complete rebuild. I'm confident mine was done when it says, simply because of the overall history. Doesn't mean I'm right though, and mine is due soon so we'll find out...
They are great cars and like anything else a bit of knowledge and attention will keep it that way. The forums here are very helpful and you'll find no shortage of useful advice and tips. Don't forget to wave!
