Does this 156 on Autolusso's ebay shop have aero blade wipers? Anyone know if these are likely to be aftermarket or were they ever fitted to the 156 as standard? - I take it GT arms and blades would not be suitable size/lenghth/profile to fit on a 156.
Thanks guys. Thanks DavidC - as usual, you are faster than Google, but with that added personal touch - I have ordered a set of Bosch - can't be any worse than the juddery sqeaky set I have at the moment.
I've edited my post to point directly to the Bosch ones, just in case anyone thought I was recommending the Valeo version (which I wasn't!).
Never said you were lol, i've seen the valeo ones that Halfords have to offer and i was put off by the chunky looking design. So i decided on the Bosch ones, having had the Aero retrofits on my old laguna with good results.
I have to agree, the standard N/S wiper blade was curved on mine too, but the Aero blade is just as good.
I can state without any fear of contraception that they were Valeo blades, pretty new as I remember it.
With those big chunky connector housings they clearly are Valeo ones!
I had a set of the Valeo flatblades when they first came out, at the time the Bosch were only available in LHD versions. The Valeo lasted less than a year and were replaced by the newly available Bosch flatblades. Far more compact and have lasted considerably longer too.
Sorry Toxic!!!!!!!!! I did pause and think for minute that the car may have belonged to a AOer and therefore risked giving somebody flashbacks.
No problems mate, that was over a year ago and I'm out of therapy now courtesy of the 20v SW. The colour was c**p anyway, in bad light it looked brown! The misses could never find in in a car park, something that doesn't seem to be a problem with the Alfa Red SW.
The car was good, and donated the Eibachs and FSDs thanks to AutoLusso.
Got the said blades and fitted them - look great - very neat design just like the standard items on GT we had. However, the passenger side blade is not seated on the screen for about 6 inches just at the fixing point, leaving an unwiped patch at the bottom of the screen about the size of a hand - fine once it moves up the screen. Will this bed down or do any of you guys know a 'cure'? Otherwise great for around £20, just a little irritating I'm not getting 100% coverage!
