Horrific Tyre Wear - Worn Bushes/Faulty Suspension?
To cut a long story short my GT (jtd, 2004) has demolished a full set of tyre's in 8k miles. Rears were worst by a long long way! I don't drive it hard what so ever (300-400 miles a week and current fuel prices dictate that sadly) and 95% of miles are on a 40mile round commute to work on the A590 with very liitle defects. I only average about 35-40mph combined.
The outside of all tyres looked as good as new (so never thought there could be an issue) but the inside's were worn flat on the front (about 1-2" wide fron inside tyre wall towards the middle), the rest of the fronts were ok. But on the rear it was down to the canvs in parts. The rears were warn at a very sharp angle from the inside wall to the middle of the tyre, again like the fronts they just looked "normaly" worn middle to out side.
Any idea's what this could be? A worn bushes, incorrect camber angle, worn susspension? Pretty worried about the rears as it's not a simple tracking and alighnment like the front.
Any answers, ideas would be greatly apreciated, thanks alot peeps.
