Dunlop SP Fastresponse

Anyone have them on their cars? I'd be interested in whether I'm the only one who finds them beyond awful...

Had them on my 156 for a month now, got them as a replacement for the totally worn down Conti PremiumContacts that were on the car when I bought it. I expected the car to drive even better than before and was disappointed to find that it was in fact a lot worse on the new Dunlops than on the Contis, even after 2000 miles of "running in".

On anything but perfect roads (of which there are a great many in this country as we all know ) the handling is appalling, with the tiniest of potholes sending the car going off into a random direction (especially funny on the motorway). I don't want to constantly keep correcting the direction my car is going in FFS!

Add to that occasional massive understeer - went into a slightly wet roundabout at a brisk but far from excessive speed earlier this week and missed a lamppost by a couple of inches and that only thanks to bloody fast reflexes. My friend in the passenger seat was shaking all the way to our destination

Your experiences? Your thoughts?

I have no experience of any Dunlop tyres since my BSA racing bike circa 1977.... However the Bridgestone Turenzas that I have on all four wheels are excellent

For so called Premium tyres I have always found Dunlops (And Pirelli's) pretty bad.

Have a look on - Tyre test reports by consumers for consumers

There are a few more user reviews there on various tyres.
