And by the way: on my 2.5 it was due to the rubber on the wishbone ball joint being stuck between the metal of the wishbone and the suspension arm top when the front was compressed. The rubber on the joint then gives up and cracks and water and grit enters the joint.
In order to fix this from happening again you have to grind away some metal from the side of the top of the suspension arm so that the ball joints rubber seal get more space.
If you take a look with the wheel off you will be able to see what I mean (gievn that this is the relevant problem to you...)
