Had problems on an off with my Clutch over the past few months. Symptoms are: Low bite point, floppy pedal, usually able to bring it back by 'pumping it a few times'. Seems to particularly loose pressure when driving over 50 mph especially in 5th gear.
Had it in to a local indy in December, who ruled out probalems with the slave (no leaking, not loosing any fluid), but replaced the master cylinder and a few o-rings on the pipworke.
It's been OK since, but not perfect, until last friday when I lost the pedal completely. I Bled the Slave out over the weekend and it brought the pressure back and bite point nearer the top. Was fine yesterday, but after a drive down the A19 this morning, the pressure has gone again.
I'm more than willing to replace the Clutch, Slave/release bearing, but would like to rule out any other issues such as a leak in the hydraulics somewhere. The last thing I want it to spead £400 on the work only to find that the problem is leak somewhere else.
For info, it's a 2003 1.6 TS, so slave inside the housing etc.
