Right here goes,
After a few months of hesitation and trying to get to the bottom of it two weeks ago on a decent run I started to get a heavy vibration through the s/wheel & pedals, so took it back to my indie where it was obvious the inner drive shaft was beyond repair.
My car is a mapped 1.9JTDm-jet 16v, which before the driveshaft issue was really quite powerful through the range. On Friday I rang to see if I could collect my car and inquired on the condition of her, my mechanic(whom I have alot of faith in I might add) said that all the vibration issue's were sorted but he was still not convinced she's running right, saying that the power seemed flat then all of a sudden would come in and questioned the map? But before the work the power was there, now from acceleration it does seem really flat like a turbo hose off or something, no faults on FES and no pipes of, but seems like its restricted in some way, but once up to 40ish mph goes like normal.
I could really do with the bloody thing just running right, I've got my son in hospital with a bowel issue and my G.dad in the same hospital on deaths door, so the last thing I need right now is transport woes.
Would a throttle reset help??
I have a feeling someones going to say "your turbo's knackered" which would just about some up my week to be quite honest!
Also, has anyone experienced reverse light failure caused by a knackered driveshaft?
I had no reverse lights, checked all fuses, bulbs OK, cleaned and checked continuity whilst in reverse, OK. but still no lights
driveshaft replaced and voila we have light
Any help will be greatly appreciated,
