147 Airflow Intake
I have been looking at ways to improve the airflow to my 147 2.0s engine, I can't do the GTA Air Intake mod because of the difference in pipe sizes to the maf apparently.
Not wanting to go down the Induction route means retaining the existing airbox..
On inspection the intake pipe, the pipe from up under the wing to the airbox is not a single piece of pipe - it seems to have a couple of bulges (the best way i can describe them) which kinda gives a dual path to the airbox.
The airbox I notice seems to have 2 inlets as a result of the bulges on the air intake pipe.
I have seen what is supposed to be a straight upgraded intake pipe on AutoDelta but many seem to believe this is a dealer part with the part number sanded off and the price raised - does anyone know what part this is or part number etc.
Alternatively I could take my existing air intake out and cut off the bulges, seal the holes and put it back - if done in connection with an AutoDelta or BMC panel filter would this improve or make the intake worse.
I know this has been covered lots of times however it usually involves the GTA intake mod which isn't applicable so I need a greater understanding of the 2.0 standard system and what can improve it.
