4 days into GT ownership, all well so far!
Picked the Q2 up on Tuesday, have done 500 miles since then, and all is well.
A decent bit of weather today, so swapped the drivers side rear for front so had matching tyres on each axle. Not sure why they were wrong, but don't like it! So have Dunlops on the rear and Hankook V12s on the front.
Greased the top arms on the drivers side while the wheel was off, seems to have reduced the "chirp".
Also took a can of spray grease to the clutch pedal mechanism and the level that can just be seen lurking behind the battery. Seems a lot smoother and easier already. When the sun is out proper and I am in the mood will take the battery out and do it properly, but as a quick fix am happy.
Also applied silicone to the door rubbers to ease the opening and closing, esp as the temperature may drop again soon.
The journey to and from Bristol was a good one, there is no way that the engine is standard! Really, really pulls in 6th, even at highly indecent speeds. Its like an eager puppy just wanting to go and go......
I had an Angel tune on the 150bhp 1.9jtdm in the 159, but it was no where near as torquey as this one. Maybe the absence of the DPF helps? Am really happy though, still managed 44.9mpg after a spirited run.....
So, all happy in the world of GT ownership. Apart from the 2 massive stone chips I got yesterday! Grrr. Am about to find the right touch up paint from ebay. Stupid motorways....
Moved over to the dark side
And loving it
