I unplugged my Maf and went for a test drive, it did cut out at idle but on the move i noticed it pulled a bit better especially above 2000rpm, the car drove fine with a very smooth idle with the old Maf but i did notice a very minor hesitation at around 5000rpm in 3rd gear, if held it in 3rd between 5000 and 5200 it felt like it was holding back a bit, although it would still rev to 7000rpm, the new maf is like night and day, it goes like a hot hatch.
Might be best to see if your garage will let you borrow a spare/ new Maf just to see if there is much difference it only takes 2 minutes to fit.
Yes mine felt bogged down whenever i hit the gas pedal hard, it made a lot of noise but seemed slow to pick up any decent speed/ performance.
I didn't expect the Maf to make such a big difference throughout the whole of the rev band, and at 3000prm it accelerates very hard..
Its like a different car..
