Cheap 156.

I just saw this...

Alfa Romeo 156 Sportivo 2.0 '99. Full leather interior, a/c, e/w, e/s/r, e/m, engine needs some attention, Price: 3,800 Contact: 086-6052927.

(I have not affiliation to this seller, I just saw it as a good deal.)

Re: Cheap 156.

It depends what is meant by: "engine needs some attention"...
it could mean that the cam belt has failed and it needs a 2000 rebuild.
or even worse main bearing & crank failure due to lack of/poor quality engine oil.

or it may just be using a little oil and is actually fine.

If you need to know for sure, get Gerry Campbell, TI Autos to get a look at it and give you a quote for the work needed. His number is 01 8386567
Can the car actually be driven? The ad looks like a Buy&Sell ad over here. No mileage specified either?

Re: Cheap 156.

It's just a buy and sell advert I saw.
Depending on what's wrong and how much work you were willing to put into it, it could turn out to be a very cheap 156...

Tee-O... did I include you in the mailing about the Alfa meet?
Where in Ireland are you?... and can you bring the bird in the pic???

Mc, I got your PM. Only just got back to work after 2 weeks in Lanzrote, so I had to get thro' 50 cajillian emails first. I'm in Naas so not too far from the capital. Throw out a date & place and hopefully I can make it. Sorry about the bird. I left her in Paris last time I was there.
