156 JTS 2.0 Loss of engine Power

Hi everyone
Just got a 156 JTS, 2.0.l . The following warnings are displayed:
- VDC System Failure
- Motor Control System Failure
- ABS System Failure

after collecting the car had to drive 140 miles home. the engine would only rev up to 4000/80mph.
next day it got even worse, the engine barely revs, max speed is about 10mph

does it have to do anything with those warnings displayed? I read on forum, this might be due to ECU shutting down engine to protect it from damage. any ideas?

if all errors came on at the same time , check battery voltage.

oops didn't read the second part, i would suspect the maf sensor.
but probably there's someone here with a jts that can help you beter.

Hey y'all!

I have also been afflicted with MCSF, and after 30 minutes of driving I get VDC System Failure and the car stalls and the power steering locks up!! I am lucky that this hasn't happened whilst driving round a corner or roundabout!

I too have followed a process of elimination starting with Fuses and Today I got a new high powered Bosch battery installed before I go any further. I got the error codes read before the new battery was installed, the codes are:

P0130 - Lambda 1 signal above cat
P0135 - Preheating resistance 1 above cat
P1607 - Lambda 1 sensor drive up stream
P0100 - Air flow meter
P1670 - Fuel pressure
Also I have a wiring hum behind the dash.

The car drives great, no flat spots,no loss of power until it dies after 30 -40 mins with the VDCSF.

I was hoping for a quick fix with the battery but no luck for me I am afraid. I've got it booked in to see Euan at CP Garage in Dundee on Thursday, i'll post how I get on.
